If youre decorating the space yourself, this is a good time to scour the web for décor ideas and budget décor items which you can begin to order.

How To Plan A Small Wedding
Small weddings or what are commonly referred to as micro weddings are really in fashion right now thanks to issues like a global pandemic. If you are planning a small wedding you need to make sure you have a structure for where and when your wedding will take place, who will be invited and what sort of menu and entertainment you want to have. Many couples who are planning a small wedding decide to host the event at their house or the house of someone close to them to save on venue cost. If you are thinking of going down that path you still might need to plan out a space for food, dancing, bathrooms, and parking.

Start To Consider Your Wedding Outfit
Suits can be found much closer to the wedding date, so this is only really relevant if you’re a bride.
Start to think about the style of wedding dress you might want to wear on your big day. Look inside your wardrobe first and see what style you’re drawn too, then research styles and designers on wedding websites and on Pinterest, and finally look around to see which boutiques stock the styles or designer you’re after.

The One Conversation To Have Immediately
While we dont recommend starting to actively plan your wedding within seconds of being just engaged, we do think theres one important conversation to have shortly after the ring is presented. Talk to your partner about if you want to have a long or a short engagement. There are indeed advantages to each, and the general engagement length you choose does have an impact in your planning timeline. You dont have to have an extensive discussion with your partner about your wedding just yet, but the estimated timeframe is a good one to chat about right away.
Why It Takes So Long To Plan A Wedding
In addition to that, there is a range of factors influencing how long it takes to plan a wedding. The lifestyle of the couple is an important factor. If the couple happens to have a busy professional or social life or remains busy due to any other reason, it would take more time to plan a wedding. In contrast, couples with ample free time take less time in planning.
The finances of the couple are another factor in this regard. When the couple lacks the needed finances, they might have to wait to build up savings for marriage. This would help the couple to earn some extra money to finance their dream wedding. However, if the couple already has enough resources at their disposal, they might not need to wait.
Support from friends and family of the bride and groom is another issue. The wedding planning process becomes faster if the couple is assisted by their near and their dear ones. The assistance of friends and family helps to speed the process. On the other hand, if they are not involved in the wedding planning for any reason, all the burden would fall on the couple. This would demand more time.

Myth #: I Just Won’t Have Enough Time
This first section may seem broad, but I think this preoccupation itself is broad. Couples worry that they won’t have time to get “things” done, but I fear that this concern is based largely on assumptions and not actual facts. In reality, there are very few things that actually take a lot of time to do. It’s all about organization.
I know that when I was planning my wedding, I often felt rushed and worried that I would never have enough time to get everything accomplished . . . but guess what? I did- and I didn’t have to give up my day job to do it!
There are, undoubtedly, some things that will take time, and will only end up costing you more money if you have to rush them. However, these things are few and far between, and in almost no case can they not be manipulated to fit a shorter time frame.
Securing the venue you want may be your biggest concern, if you think/know that it is a popular location and may be booked solid for months or even years to come. This can be dealt with . . . but more on that later.
Even if you are planning on DIYing many of the décor for your wedding, with willing bridesmaids ready to pitch in and help, you’re only looking at a few weekend sessions of work if you stay on task.
