What You Can Expect From You Planner/coordinator Is A Fully Stocked Emergency Kit

We travel with Tylenol, lint rollers, Tide stain pens, spray on deodorant, safety pins, and about a million other useful items that can solve a variety of common wedding problems. We horde picture frames, little chalkboards with chalk, baskets, small vases and votives in our cars to try to prepare for any eventuality. Chances are, if you need something small-ish we have it on us…and if we don’t, better to send a friend or family member to grab it instead of the person holding the event together and captaining the ship.

Can You Hire A Wedding Decorator

There are many companies that provide a wedding decoration service. This can be anything from hiring table centerpieces, crockery, and other decorations to a dedicated team available on your wedding day to be on hand to set everything up.

There really is something out there for everyone when it comes to wedding décor.

Most providers of wedding décor will have social media pages as well as websites with a portfolio of the decorations they have to offer.

It is always a good idea to also have a look at their reviews and photographs from other couples weddings to make the decision-making process about your wedding decorations easier.

Knowing what decorations you will need for your wedding can be a daunting prospect, and that is where hiring a wedding decorator can be incredibly beneficial.

They will be able to make suggestions and provide insight as to what style of décor will suit the venue and the style of your particular wedding best.

Wedding decorators are highly likely to recommend something that will transform your venue to the most perfect place for you and your partner and it could be something that, in your wildest dreams, you hadnt even considered.

A friend of mine had rose-gold lighting at their wedding- who even knew that existed? Ill tell you who: their wedding decorator.

Hiring a wedding decorator does come at an expense.

Personally, I just love preserved wood. And it is easy to do.

High To Low Arrangements

If youre looking for a way to make more minimalist arrangments pop, create interest by lining up tall to small floral bouquets. Of course, if youre going with this idea, the flowers and vases you use should pack a punch and stand out from the rest of your decor . They look super-cute and are a cinch to clean up at the end of the night.

Selecting Linens And Runners

20 (Easy!) Ways to Decorate Your Wedding Reception
  • 1Select a color that will complement the color scheme of your wedding. Your table design will be built off your tablecloth color. The color should be able to blend in with the rest of the table setting, and not clash with other colors used in the design.XResearch source
  • If your place setting or centerpiece is going to have many multi-colored elements, opt for a tablecloth that is neutrally colored. Neutral tablecloths will balance out the other bold table elements.
  • White or cream tablecloths can also enhance minimal color palettes as well. For example, at a beach wedding where the central color is blue, using a white tablecloth will complement the sand and define any blue elements used on the table.
  • If you have a minimal table design that encompasses many neutral colors and shades, make the tablecloth the pop of color. The tablecloth will pop against the neutral place setting and centerpiece, and it will add depth to the design.
  • 2Pick a fabric that will enhance your table design. The fabric of the tablecloth should simplify or dress up your overall table design. You want to choose fabrics that are durable and will remain fresh looking throughout the day. Just avoid using pure cotton tablecloths as they develop wrinkles and creases very easily.XResearch source
  • Make your wedding shine with silky satin or sheer lace tablecloths. These can be on the more expensive end but are great if you want the tablecloth to be the focal point for the table arrangement.

Finish With Extras And Splurge Items

If you have room left in your budget, you can consider adding a decorative splurge item or two. Maybe youve been dreaming of a floral ceremony arch or adding luxurious vintage velvet chairs to your sweetheart table. We also suggest springing for that splurge item if theres an empty space in your venue that needs to be filled or if you want to wow your guests with an unexpected featurefor example, a photo booth will round out the room while also providing entertainment and fun memories for everyone. Elaborate wedding dessert tables are another splurge item we love, and your guests won’t turn down extra treats. If you want to encourage mixing and mingling, create a wedding lounge to get guests up and out of their seats between dinner and dancing.

If your outdoor venue doesn’t come naturally equipped with the option or you’re taking your celebration indoors, a custom canopy can easily be built and outfitted with lush greenery and vibrant blooms. Rustic, old, and rugged characteristics are commonly used in wedding decorations. Classic wedding decor in farmhouses can be achieved by adding lovely touches such as chandeliers, foliage garlands, candles, and string lights.

If youre ceremony and reception are at different venues, or even in different areas of the same venue, consider reusing the same decorations. Your ceremony decorations can be recycled and repositioned to work as reception decorations as well!

Use the trays or displays from cocktail hour for your desserts later in the night. Let your ceremony backdrop function as a photo backdrop at the reception. Get creative to make the most out of every piece you rent or buy.

Who Do I Hire To Decorate The Venue

    MasterPosted in Planning0

It may sound like common sense but I don’t know what kind of company to call/hire to decorate our venue. I want to rent linens but I heard that linen companies just drop off the linens and then it’s left to someone else to place all those items on the tables etc. I don’t want the linens just thrown on the tables, I want someone to make the tables look beautiful. . Who do I call for this?

While flower walls make for unquestionably stunning focal points, they also come with a pretty hefty price tag. A garden-inspired backdrop, however, is a pretty uncanny DIY alternative. Here, the wooden canvas was bedecked with individual flowers and served as an escort card display until it was later repurposed as a photo booth backdrop. How to Decorate a Wedding Reception on a Budget

Gone are the days of hastily made signs on poster board. The same goes for your guests wondering where to go or when something starts. Etsy is by far our favorite source for signs, labels, and printables. Whats great about Etsy is you can find an artist to create a finished product for you or you can print them out yourself, using places like Vistaprint, Walgreens, or even your own home printer, to create your signage.

Your Wedding Coordinator Will Not Clean Your Reception Venue

Clean up after a wedding can be designated to a variety of individuals. The venue themselves will have a fair amount of responsibilities after an event and what they handle internally as well as what they expect clients to have taken care of by other professionals or friends and family will vary by venue and is always spelled out in your venue contract. Major event strike items like breaking down chairs and tables or sweeping/mopping are never a coordinator’s responsibility and generally fall under the responsibility of the venue staff. However, some venues, in an effort to be more budget friendly, state in their contract that these tasks are the responsibility of the client – in which case they will either offer an option to have their staff provide these services for a small additional fee or expect you to delegate someone to take care of the tasks.

    Accessorize The Sweetheart Table

    Ashley Izquierdo

While you and your spouse can sit at the head of a table for dinner, it’s also an option to sit at your own space separate from the wedding party. A sweetheart table is a romantic way for couples to enjoy the reception together . And, if you’re looking for ways to enhance your venue, a sweetheart table can be a focal point for decorations. Arrange the area with flowers, elegant candle holders, statement chairs, a neon sign or rose petals surrounding your seats to bring color and texture to the room.

Diy Wedding Ideas For A Tight Budget

Planning a wedding already consumes a lot of time, but if you can squeeze in a little bit more, making your own decorations is another way to save big. Plus, there are numerous DIY projects that are quick and easy. Enlist the help of your friends and family or ask your maid of honor or best man to see if they can pitch in as well.

Take your paper-folding skills to the test. A simple sheet of paper can do wonders. Add little origami swans to your tables, make paper flowers to drape on the walls, or cut out paper lanterns to hang from the ceiling. Match your decorations to your theme by using solid colored paper or use patterned paper to make your celebration more lively.

Do you know someone with gorgeous handwriting or calligraphy skills? Ask someone to help you draw custom chalkboard signs or banners! You can use a large sign to welcome guests to your wedding and point them in the right direction for seating at the ceremony or reception. Hand-lettered chalkboard place cards can add a personal touch, too.

From the brides bouquet to centerpieces, flowers are everywhere at a wedding. If you want to add even more, consider pressing flowers to use as decor. Since pressing flowers takes some time, make sure you think about this in advance! If chalkboard place cards arent your thing, you can glue pressed flowers onto place cards to personalize them instead.
