When I was working on our fake wedding website, it did take me some time to figure out how to get the RSVP tab to appear. The trick here is, you have to first start a guest list. You can easily import your entire guest list from Excel or enter them manually.
Next, youll need to enable the RSVP option on the events page . When you add the RSVP, you can choose to add a response to their RSVP, like if theyd like Chicken or Fish. Once youve entered at least one person on your guest list and enabled the RSVP on the event page, the RSVP page will appear.
For the guest to RSVP, they will need to enter the name that was on their invitation on the RSVP page.
Fill out the other easy-to-use pages further with more details. Add some pictures. Tell a little love story and ta DA! You have a wedding website. Boom.
Would I Recommend Using Minted For Your Wedding Website
Without ever having planned a wedding, its not easy to think through every little detail of the wedding website user experience. So, you go with the opinions of people whove used the website before and hope for the best. You can only pick a well-known or popular website, and hope the brides before you have done the research for you. If so many people have used this website, it must be goodor good enough?
Overall, I do love the website design options on Minted. Their aesthetics are great, and so is the quality of their stationery! But if you decide to use Minted for your wedding website, know that you cannot group together multiple members of your household and use the workaround I suggested above to address those concerns. There are definitely workarounds to its flaws, which will result in some manual edits in your guestlist spreadsheet.

Minted Wedding Website Designs
The website coordinating with each invitation can be accessed from the invitation page, under products in the same suite . Its easy to change your design whenever youd like youre not locked into the first option you select.
Each website design comes with a set of color options from which to choose, and these coordinate with the color options of the matching invitations. For example, the Big City Philadelphia * invitation suite, featuring the skyline illustration, comes in four colorways: light taupe, blush, pale blue, and mint. These have slight variations to the font color and the detail in the illustration. The Big City Philadelphia website * has the same four colorways. Youre not able to further customize colors, or to make any changes to the fonts.
With Minted invitations, customization options are more widely available you can change the color and the fonts . S and I did both of these things, so if we had chosen the site to match our invitations, it would have looked a bit off. Admittedly, Im probably the only person who wouldve noticed , but it is something to consider. Alternatively, its a good excuse to choose another beautiful design that coordinates with your suite! Think about pairing based on feel and colors.
I imagine that the behind-the-scenes work required to allow any extensive amount of customization is probably tremendous, so allowing customers to make just a few changes seems reasonable to me .
How Wed Change The Rsvp Feature
The RSVP function is the main area where I think the Minted wedding websites should be improved, both because its not as user-friendly as Id expect, and because it doesnt keep your guest names fully private. To take each point in turn:
First, the search feature seems sensitive, and I could imagine it being frustrating for guests as your list grows and, particularly, as the number of people who share a name grows. The two additional names that are pulled up, if you say the first one isnt your name, are the same every time. Youd have to change your search terms to see more options.
To test it out, I entered my last name, and the only suggestions it would generate were the first three entries in my address book with my last name . To see if I could get it to pull up my other aunt & uncle, I tried my uncles initial and last name didnt work his nickname and his last name still didnt work and finally, his full first and last name, which did work.
Second, you can type a single letter into the search box, and itll pull up responses I tried a variety of letters, and each time, it pulled up three names that included that letter. This is less of a concern if youve paid for the premium plan, which allows you to set a password , but you still might not want an option that essentially allows guests to search for any other guest youve invited .
