Kyle + Maci // Traverse City Michigan
Saturday we were in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan at Gallagher Farms. When we booked with Kyle and Maci they ranted about how the views at Bay View Events and how they were the best in the TC area, and about how you could see as far as Charlevoix on a clear day. Fast forward 2 years later and we did not get to see that view, it poured on their wedding day, and we were covered in a thick fog all day long, and I wouldnt have changed a single thing about the entire day.
We always say, the weather is what it is, and its all what the couple makes of it. These two are something special, and I know truly whatever their day would have brought them, they would have taken it on with huge smiles. As it poured before the ceremony, I gave Maci an umbrella and told her to stand on the deck of the small cottage where they got ready for a photo, if she was ok with being in the rain. She happily did it and as she was under the umbrella in the pouring rain, she with a huge grin says, I just love this, its so perfect. That outlook on life, and her wedding day will get this couple so far in life and in marriage. They did not want rain, but then when it rained they embraced it and enjoyed it, and as you will see below their photos are no less beautiful than a perfectly sunny day, in my opinion they are something unique and special.

Bay View Weddings At Gallagher Farms
Molly and Colin chose Bay View Weddings at Gallagher Farms for the breathtaking views of the Grand Traverse Bay in Cedar, Michigan.
Bay View at Gallagher Farms was everything you could hope for out of a wedding venue. This wedding venue at Gallagher Farms features rolling hills, vineyards, apple trees, a beautiful lawn, and plenty of space. Not to mention the panoramic views.
Molly and Colin really planned a first look before the ceremony on The Overlook platform. While it was windy, the view was beautiful with a perfect blue sky, and picturesque fluffy clouds, overtop of a lush green landscape leading up to The Bay. After Molly and Colin had a moment, their family and friends were shuttled up for group photos too. They were then shuttled a short distance for a ceremony on The Bay View Hilltop. It was quick and full of laughter as Molly and Colin recited their vows.
We arrived back at Bay View for the reception. Toasts were shared, dinner was served, cake was cut, and the night proceeded with a lot of dancing. Molly and Colins wedding at Bay View really was the perfect mix of planning combined with a great choice of location for their wedding in Traverse City.

Bay View At Gallagher Farms Wedding Photography
Chelsea & Williams Bay View at Gallagher Farms Wedding Photography highlighted all of the beautiful scenery Northern Michigan has to offer! This fun loving couple planned their wedding over Labor Day weekend. It was an exciting day shared with their closest friends and family!
I met the bride and bridesmaids at the barn on Gallagher Farms property. The barn is a great getting ready space that also makes for many photo opportunities. In their cute pajama sets, the girls walked through the orchards while I photographed them laughing. They then slipped into their bridesmaids dresses from Birdy Grey that were in two different shades of mauve. Chelsea put on her wedding gown from The Wedding Shoppe with help from her mom. Gallagher Farms property has SO many incredible views! We took portraits in the orchard and on the hills overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. With the girls tucked away I met with William and his groomsmen to take portraits!
Chelsea and William did not do a first look so I always make sure to take the bride & bridesmaids and groom & groomsmen portraits before the ceremony. This really helps to allow more time for bride & groom portraits after the ceremony. Whether you choose to do a first look or not we will guide you along the timeline making process for your own big day!

New Traverse City Wedding Venue Bay View Weddings Opening Spring 2019

Bay View Weddings at Gallagher Farms sits on a hill, rising almost 1,000 feet, overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. See photos from the new Traverse City wedding venue.
Dani and Gabe started dating in high school, so, seven years later when they were still a couple, Gabe says, It was about time! to get married. Dani might have known a proposal was in the works, but she had one request of Gabe: that she be surprised.
The couple was moving from Michigan to Iowa where Gabe was going to school so that Dani could take a job as product engineer at HNI Corporation, an office furniture manufacturer. Before they left, Gabe told her hed ordered a ring and it would be delivered to her parents house. Theyd bring it when they made their first visit. Then hed figure out a way to surprise her with it.
Slick guy that he is, Gabe had the ring sent to Iowaand as they were waiting for her parents to arrive on their first visit he put on romantic music, got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. She was so busy asking how he pulled it off she almost forgot to say, yes,for at least a minute.
There was never any doubt that the wedding would be in the Traverse/Leelanau area where they were both raised. Both Dani and Gabe attended St. Francis High School but they also had a number of friends and family from Leelanau St. Marys High School.
In keeping with the Gallagher Farms theme, the dessert table popped with cherry treats.
