Diy Cheap Wedding Bouquets

Whether they are bridal, bridesmaids, or centerpieces, bouquets take up a significant portion of the floral budget. Luckily, there are tips and tricks to lower costs of bouquets.

Greenery is a growing wedding trend, and you can use leafy green plants to fill up bouquets. This really draws attention to the few flowers in your bouquet, so if you have a favorite flower, you can use greenery to showcase it.

Hydrangeas are a popular flower for weddings. Although they can be pricey, hydrangeas fill up a bouquet well. You can also surround your main flowers with fillers like babys breathe.

Dont want to go big? Try a minimalist route! For your centerpieces or bouquets, stick with a few thin stems that match your decors color palette. With the right colors and vases, just a few flowers can look as elegant as an elaborate arrangement. Even single stems have a great look!

If youre looking for even more creative alternatives, look for silk flower wedding bouquets. Keep in mind that silk flowers can get expensive quickly as well, however, so make sure you keep an eye on your budget.

How Much Did My Wedding Flowers Cost

Average Price For Wedding Flowers 2020 / How Much Do Wedding Flowers ...

I was married back in 2015, so be aware that costs will have increased since then. Our wedding was also pretty unique in that we got married alone in a secret woodland ceremony. Then a few weeks later we had a relaxed evening party.

We had one bouquet, two flower crowns , two buttonholes and DIY flower buckets for 50 bottles/jars. This came in at under £350.

Flowers were my biggest must-have and I am flower crazy! I would have loved a massive flower installation, however, having only an evening party it didnt seem right to spend here. So we had to compromise and used other decor instead.

That being said, the flowers and my bouquet especially were one of my favourite things ever. Id definitely recommend preserving your wedding bouquet too!

What I would say though, as much as I enjoyed DIYing the table flowers, it was stressful! I was arranging the flowers, pretty much on my own for what felt like hours before the party.

I then had limited time to get ready and was pretty worn out, so do consider the DIY option and whether anyone can give you a hand if you go down that path. Another point to make is that the majority of my flowers were seasonal and local which could have had a cost impact.

This option might require a little more from you because you may need to put together bouquets yourself. However, Sams Club and Costco provide a few different options for wedding flowers that can be more affordable than hiring and buying from a professional florist.

Aside from Sams Club and Costco, there are also websites that specialize in selling flowers.

Its also common for couples to arrange an additional smaller bouquet for the bouquet toss. This way, the main bouquet doesnt get thrown or damaged and can be preserved if the couple chooses.

Boutonnière

Grooms and groomsmen are not excluded from floral details, as many choose to have boutonnière on their suits to match their wedding partners. Although a smaller floral, it is something else to consider when deciding on what flowers to purchase for your wedding. Boutonnière or corsages are still included for parents in many weddings.
