Many couples will have an average of 1-3 showers thrown on their behalf during the engagement period: one from each side of the family, and sometimes one from work colleagues. Thirty guests is a widely accepted maximum number of attendees for a wedding shower, as a group larger than 30 tends to be challenging to manageparticularly if the guest of honor will be opening presents.

Just because you have a plan doesn’t mean you have to control every single second. If The Newlywed Game inspires everyone to share their own hilarious stories, let it roll. While it is pretty traditional to send the wedding invitation prior the shower invitation, sometimes that just can’t work out. When daughter #3 got married she had to fly back home for the shower . She could only get time off of work 3 months prior to her wedding so shower invitations went out first, although she did do save the dates. I really wouldn’t worry too much about it.
