Pros: Its only 24 miles from the San Francisco airport, and the views are incredible. Even though the weather will be a bit cooler in this part of California , with an indoor pool, tennis courts, fire pit, golf course, and nearby activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, and wine-tasting, I think it has a lot to offer for a destination wedding venue. Cons: I dont love the typical ballroom feel of their spaces, but I think the view and setting more than make up for it. The high California tax combined with the 24% gratuity on the F& B is also a tough pill to swallowyoud be paying over $18,000 just for gratuity and taxes in the combo weve selected above. You also have to keep in mind the high room rates at luxury hotels such as this one. Even though there are less expensive hotels nearby, most guests prefer to stay on site. If you know this room rate will be too high for a lot of guests, I would reconsider this as a venue. But, if your budget is flexible, I would definitely consider this splurge option considering the entire resort is so stunning.

It doesnt matter if the sun is out or the fog has rolled in, the view is breathtaking. The venue is right on the cliff of the Pacific Ocean and its truly amazing. The style of the building fits perfectly with its surroundings, which makes for some beautiful wedding photos. When youre there, I recommend to take some time to slow down amongst the wedding stress and admire the panorama.

Anu is a law student and a fashion blogger, The Tea for Two, from Boston. Gaurav is from Toronto. They live in Boston. Got engaged at the end of September 2014 and got married January 3, 2015!
Andthe two of them planned everything themselves! No parents and no planner!
We kept it to 3 days starting, with a pooja, engagement ceremony and haldi. Our bigger events started Friday night with a rustic dinner at an Italian restaurant in Half Moon Bay. By that time all of our guests had checked in to the Ritz and we arranged transportation to and from the restaurant.
After dinner everyone was taken back to the Ritz for the sangeet. I quickly changed from my gown to an anarkali suit and everyone had a great time dancing the night away. After the sangeet, boxed snacks were delivered to our guests rooms. After all that dancing everyone was hungry again! Curry Up Now was our vendor and it worked out very well. We had to get them approved by the Ritz-Carlton, but that was a simple process.The next day was the ceremony in the late morning. We served heavy snacks before, during and after, and we kept it to one hour.
Youre Punjabi Hindu and hes North Indian Jain, were there any cultural differences you worked out ahead of time?Yes, Jain ceremonies typically dont have a lot of idols only Bhagwan Mahavir. There were a few other differences but they were minor so it wasnt time consuming or hard to organize.
