Next, they need to obtain a marriage license prior to their ceremony. Texas, as with all states in the United States, recognizes same-sex marriages. Additionally, the state also recognizes common law, or informal, marriages.

How To Reserve Your Wedding Date With The Church Of Dirt Park City

The Church of Dirt is unique in the fact that it is a public, free wedding venue. There are no wedding vendors or coordinators maintaining it. There is no one to call to talk to no website to get more info or reserve your wedding date. This is not your normal wedding venue!

If you are considering getting married at the Church of Dirt, I would make it a date to go visit the space together. Just be careful to not interrupt someone elses wedding day. If it feels like the perfect spot for your vows, you can sign the planner and leave a momento. Be sure to zip the bag properly and that whatever you leave there will be weather and wind-proof. Most people leave a rock or wood sign with their name and wedding date, maybe a little poem. I love seeing the pile of LOVE from so many couples there.

Park City, Utah Wedding Venues

Park City is one of my absolute favorite places for weddings in Utah.

So, I absolutely had to create a roundup blog post to share with you what I consider to be the absolute best wedding venues in Park City, Utah. That said, I also dont want to overwhelm you with a laundry list of every single venue thats gorgeous so I narrowed it down to my top five favorites. In no particular order, here we go!

Lookout Cabin

If having an absolutely epic view is top of your priority list, make sure to pop on by the Lookout Cabin. With 360 degree views of the Wasatch Mountain Range it really doesnt get more scenic than this. And having to take a chairlift to your venue just adds to the unique experience. And let me just say personally, while it might not be the most luxurious place of this shortlist, its certainly one of the most memorable because of the incredible vistas. Just make sure your guest list count doesnt go too large if you want this place. ).

Planning A Mountain Wedding

The Wasatch Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding. With an abundance of recreation and leisure activities, your guests can experience the natural beauty of this historic mountain town. While it is exciting to plan your wedding in such a picturesque location, destination planning can be a little daunting, especially if you are not very familiar with the area. It can be challenging to know where to start when making important wedding decisions. To help you start planning, here are a few things that you should consider.

A major factor to consider is the season. While spring and summer are the most commonly thought of seasons for an outdoor wedding, Park City has a wide variety of outdoor winter venues. With multiple resorts, you can take advantage of unique experiences like gondola or chairlift rides to mountain lodges.

Since you and your guests will be spending a few days in the area, it may be helpful for you to provide a list of fun activities and entertainment options. Outdoor lovers can explore hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, golf, ziplining, horseback riding, or rafting. For those looking to explore local culture, there are breweries, wineries, shows, and shopping opportunities.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, consider hiring a local wedding planner with extensive knowledge of the area and what venues and vendors are available. They can ensure your wedding reflects your style, personality, and needs.
