We are excited to announce Western Sky recently received a few updates! The new paint and stunning chandeliers bring a lighter and brighter feel to our beautiful venue!
Western Sky is the closest Hill Country Venue to San Antonio, sitting on 71 acres. Under Texas Oaks, the wooden chapel, serves as a gorgeous setting for outdoor ceremonies. Accommodating up to 300 guests, our spacious venue features beautifully stained floors, vintage chandeliers, and sheer ivory drapes. Prepare for your big day in our elegant Bridal Suite a dressing area with floor to ceiling mirrors and vanities. Our Grooms Suite is perfect for the guys with a shuffleboard and lounge area.
Keegan And Caleb Whiteley Western Sky Wedding Bulverde Texas
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Whiteley! Keegan and Caleb decided to host their big day at Western Sky in Bulverde, Texas. They chose to have a large dance floor and keep it more cocktail casual. As their wedding coordinator, we helped make their wedding day stress free and run smoothly. Keegan and I became great friends during this planning process and Im so glad we did!
Some unique things that they decided to add included a first look with her bridesmaids, father of the bride, and with Caleb. Each of those moments was captured beautifully by Katie Knotts Photography. Additionally, Keegan decided to go with the light blue linens and white charger plates. She added the wood charger plates to the head table alone and we LOVED it. Lastly, their family friend and officiant for the wedding offered for them to use his Vintage car as a Grand Exit and WOW it was perfect! We asked Keegan and Caleb a few questions about their wedding and cannot wait for you to read them. Here we go.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding?It is hard to say the most memorable part of the wedding, but if I had to pick just one I would say the last part of the reception after all the speeches and dances were done. Dancing and hanging out with all of our closest friends and family was absolutely wonderful!
Do you have any advice for future brides on what to do and what not to do?

Spirit Of Texas Lives On
Capturing the spirit of the Hill Country is a Texas-sized task. The Western Sky Wedding & Event Venue exceeds expectations. The venue boasts a charming outdoor chapel by a sparkling river, a modern rustic ballroom soaring with 30-foot ceilings and a covered porch perfect for sipping cocktails and admiring stunning sunsets.
The venue graces the landscape of a 70-acre working ranch, yet its only 15 minutes from San Antonio, near Loop 1604 and Blanco Road.
Western Sky is on the front porch of the Hill Country, says Lindsay Holliday, the venues director of sales. Were located close to town, but when you get here, you feel like youre in a secluded getaway.
Modern Rustic Ballroom
As wedding guests approach Western Sky, the driveway unfolds iconic Texas images, including horses and Longhorns.
In the ballroom, the open feel of the scenery continues with plentiful windows revealing verdant oaks. Pristine white wood walls, elegant ceiling draping and cascading vintage chandeliers adorn the venue that accommodates up to 300 guests for dinner and dancing.
The ballrooms light and airy ambiance provides a beautiful setting for couples to decorate according to their vision, Holliday says.
Western Sky venue manager, Becca Roach, helps couples design their events floor plan, is present throughout their celebration to assist vendors and offers planning guidance.

Becca has been in the events industry for over five years, helping hundreds of couples plan for their big day. She is usually the first person you’ll speak with after inquiring and the last person you’ll hug as you leave your wedding reception at Western Sky. Becca is one of the kindest and hardest working people you will meet who does everything it takes to ensure your day is everything you hoped it would be. She is also a member of the National Association of Catering and Events.
When she’s not working at Western Sky, she’s usually working at Tejas Rodeo Company, our sister company, online shopping, or snuggling with her dog, Sloane.
Lindsay married her high school sweetheart who is a high school football coach. She is also the proud mom to two little girls who agree she has the best job!
