Stream Your Wedding Live: Everything You Need To Know

Our OFFICIAL Wedding Video – Connor and Liana

Can you imagine having all your family and friends on your wedding day?Now.. can you imagine doing that without increasing your budget? What about including the ones who live far away from you and canât make the trip?

Live streaming your weddingwill give you the opportunity to do exactly that.

It will allow you to capture the event, share it with the ones you love, and be able to watch it over and over again.

Today, Iâll teach you how to live stream a wedding for family and friends anywhere in the world. No more worrying about delays or bad video quality.â

How To Invite Guests To Your Virtual Wedding

EventLive allows you to invite guests to your event using two different methods that can be used simultaneously.

The first one involves sharing your custom event link with friends and family. You can send it over private messages such as Facetime or Whatsapp, or even paste it on groups or Social Media. You should be aware that anyone with the private link will be able to attend your virtual wedding, unless you set a password.

Sharing your link only takes a few minutes, and you can invite as many people as you want. Your guest count can be endless and theyâd still be able to watch your wedding live.

Type or upload their emails

The second method consists of adding your guest emails to the EventLive platform, so they get automatically notified before the event starts, and as soon as you go live. This method becomes fairly simple if you create a CSV list of emails and upload it on your Guest List section.

The best part about this method is that you can use it for those individuals that you do not want to miss the event for anything in the world, such as grandma, or any family member that couldnât make it to your wedding.â

How Do I Record My Wedding Live Stream

If you are using Zoom, and paying for a Pro subscription, your recording will be saved on their server unless it exceeds 1GB, in which case the recording wonât be completed. I donât know about you it makes me feel uncomfortable not knowing if I will get the full recording or not.

EventLive saves your video automatically to an online server for 365 days, and to your phone. If your phone is full and you canât store any more video in it, the server recording is always available for download for a full year. You will get an email with a download link after the live stream ends, and you can watch the replay anytime on your big tv.

On Facebook Live, a heavily compressed version of your video will be available for download from the three dots on your video viewing screen. You can follow this guide to do it. Please note that Facebook might block your video if you play music with a copyright licence.

For live streaming with YouTube, you can download your recording from YouTube Studio following this guide, or the Creator Studio Classic accessing your Videos tab and selecting Download MP4 from the dropdown menu.

YouTube has limits on how many times a video can be downloaded within a day , and you wonât be able to download it if you played copyrighted music in the background

What Equipment Do I Need To Live Stream A Wedding

The Best Way to Live Stream a Wedding

The only piece of equipment that is vital to live streaming your wedding is a device with a camera that connects to the internet . Keep in mind that not all devices are created equal. You will find the best cameras on smartphones, a pretty good camera on an iPad or other tablet, and a not-so-great camera on a laptop .

That said, which are the best phones for live streaming weddings? The general rule is the newer, the better. Samsung Galaxies, iPhones and Google Pixels that are less than a few years old typically have no issues as long as they are on the latest operating software.

Other equipment for live streaming your wedding.

In addition to a streaming device, we highly recommend two other pieces of equipment. First, a sturdy tripod for every device youll be using.

Secondly, a broadcast-quality microphone. You want a wireless microphone that feeds directly into the streaming device so your at-home guests can hear everything crystal-clear.

We recommend not using a Bluetooth microphone. Bluetooth connections can be weak and open up the door for other devices to connect.

LoveStream rents a discreet broadcast-quality microphone that uses a wireless transmitter to plug into one of your streaming devices.

Both a microphone and a tripod will significantly increase the quality of your wedding live stream.

Have Tech Support In Advance

You need to send out clear instructions on how to use your chosen platform to address in advance questions that might arise. Some details to include in your instructions are the need for their video or audio to be enabled, the creation of an account in advance, and how the platform works.

Inform your guests how the whole event is going to work on the day itself. Specify the timeframe for people to be able to join the virtual event before the start of the ceremony.

The last thing that you need during your wedding is your guests asking questions or sending messages on why they cannot hear anything during your event. Thus, you need to designate someone available to handle questions about technical matters during your virtual wedding efficiently. It could be someone from your watch party who will be ready to help or one of your witnesses will do. This will eventually reduce the hassle and stress of having to deal with your guests while your event is ongoing.

How Do You Make A Livestream Wedding Special

We set up a virtual video guestbook for our at-home attendees to record two-minute messages for our bride and groom. Brian + McKenzie loved watching these videos in the days following their wedding and now they have them to re-watch on future anniversaries.

The stream doesnt have to end with the ceremony! If you dont have a videographer, tap someone to be in charge of the livestream. First, ask them to give guests a virtual tour of the space so they can appreciate all your little details. Then after the ceremony, interview guests and let them have fun interacting with viewers at home. Finally, we love the idea of a virtual video guestbook! Ask virtual attendees to send in video messages and compile them together for a digital memento.

Bride And Son Share Emotional First Look In Viral Video

“I was just happy to see her be happy,” the boy told “GMA.”

A video of an emotional first look between a Florida bride and her son has gone viral on TikTok with over 7 million views in just 10 days.

The minute-long clip follows 11-year-old Mekhi Sheffield, dressed in a light suit, as he rounds a corner and sees his mom Sommer Jean in her bridal gown and veil, standing in front of golden balloons spelling the word “Bride.”

“I was actually in the bridal suite and I asked them if they would be so kind to go get my son for me and bring him in the room and that’s kind of how that happened,” Jean told “Good Morning America.”

Use A Streaming Provider

Fortnite *LIVE* EVENT – END OF CHAPTER 3! (Fracture)

Virtual conferencing services, such as Zoom, have become essential in communicating with others during Covid-19, so its a good idea to use this type of platform for your live-stream. Zoom is our top choice at the moment for streaming, but there are a ton of other platforms you can consider based on your needs including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, says Omar. YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch are great for streaming to a large audience, such as international guests, but they dont really offer a lot of interaction capabilities with your viewers. Platforms, such as Zoom or Google Hangouts allow viewers to communicate directly with the couple and vice versa. Consider your needs, and talk with your vendor about which platform is right for your wedding.

How Much Does It Cost To Livestream Your Wedding

Have you ever heard that joke that if you put the word wedding before anything, that thing automatically becomes more expensive? A custom-made wedding cake could cost you ten times what a regular custom-made cake costs you. Thankfully, livestreaming your wedding does not have to be expensive. You can rely largely on gear you already own, iPhone and iPads. Heres what youll need, plus costs:

  • iPhone and/or iPad cameras: $0, assuming you or friends have iPhones
      • Switcher Studio, the livestreaming software used for this tutorial, lets you connect up to 9 iOS cameras to stream your big day from multiple angles. Im going to assume you and your fiancé or friends already have a few iPhones at your disposal. iPhones are great for wedding streaming since they have a small footprint in a space but capture beautiful footage.
  • Tripods for each camera: ~$25 each
      • Tripods lets you set up and stabilize your iOS devices, and theyre pretty inexpensive.
  • Sufficient Wi-Fi: $0-305, depending on your venue
      • Many venues have Wi-Fi networks that you can use to livestream your wedding. You can even bring your own router to the venue and plug it into their internet to ensure no one else is using your network.
      • If your venue does not have internet and you need to BYOI , you have a couple of options: the hotspot on your phone or a standalone mobile hotspot and prepaid data plan. An example would be a Netgear Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router plus one month of a 15GB prepaid Verizon data plan .

Establish A Strong Internet Connection

It may seem basic, but its key: You cant effectively live-stream your wedding without a solid Internet connection. Imagine how frustrating it is when you cant load a YouTube videothis is how your guests will feel for the whole stream without a reliable connection on-site, says Omar. Check for a strong Wi-Fi connection before your ceremony takes place, and, Omar suggests, have a hotspot-capable phone ready and on standby.
