This wonderful pavilion is a great place for a slightly smaller wedding but lacks nothing in terms of charm and style. Located in the heart of Egg Harbor, the Kress Pavilion boasts 2 floors and a library on the bottom floor which makes for unique Beauty & The Beast type photos for your big day!
The second floor is home to the Great Hall which has spectacular views in near 360-degree views from the floor to ceiling windows and outdoor patios. Although this venue can comfortably hold 120 guests , it can be a sizeable gathering space for your family and friends.
They have great relationships with local caterers also which makes your planning process simple and seamless. And with lodging accommodations very close in Egg Harbor, this is a wonderful place to get married in Door County.

The late August morning dawned clear and cool, a remarkable break in the sweltering heat wave that dominated the week leading up to Julia Asp and Patrick Blunts nuptials. As Julia set out for a wedding-day run, her thoughts turned to the past few days and all the food and fun her guests had enjoyed. She knew her Door County destination wedding was already a roaring success, and it technically hadnt even happened yet.
Door County is probably my favorite little place in the world, says Julia, who lives in Colorado now but vacationed every summer at her familys Egg Harbor cottage while growing up. Its just so beautiful, so quaint and peaceful, and I think the air is a little clearer, too. Theres just something special about it.
Even though we had five days, it wasnt nearly enough time to show everyone all of our favorite spots, and our guests were discovering things I didnt even know were there, says Julia, who used her wedding website to encourage her 125 guests to create their own mini-vacations most stayed Wednesday through Monday for the Saturday wedding. Ive heard it referred to as the Cape Cod of the Midwest, and I think people were surprised at how many things there were to do. Its so fun to jump from town to town and be involved and active, or find a nice, quiet spot to relax and read a book. Its got the best of what everyone is looking for, whatever kind of vacation you want.

The Yacht Club is a wonderful place to get married right on the water. With a unique peninsula that stretches out far into the lake, your ceremony could feel like its floating in the water! And with the ability to host 170 people for an outdoor dinner on the water, this truly marks a unique experience for a wedding party.
The downside to the Yacht Club is the interior space leaves something to be desired. Feeling more like an old boat house, if your event gets pushed inside due to weather, it might feel underwhelming for your important day. Its a slight risk-vs-reward scenario. The outdoor wedding would be breathtaking, but if you get bad weather it could turn sour for the overall look and feel of the space.

The first floor, which includes the Egg Harbor library, includes a cozy banquet hall, which features high ceilings and a fireplace. Its perfect for a cocktail hour or even post-wedding brunch.
Your reception will likely take place on the second floor, where The Great Hall is located. This location boasts a charming wraparound porch on the outside, which makes a great spot for wedding photos. Inside, the space features exposed beams and hardwood floors.

The Gardens Wedding Center can be found on Highway 175 in Allenton. Its nearest neighbor is West Bend , but it is easily accessible from Milwaukee , Fond du Lac , and Beaver Dam .
History
The Gardens Wedding Center is a fantastic Wisconsin wedding venue that resides in a 3 acre plot of land that is home to a four-building complex
originally established in 1844. Of course, there have been some upgrades since then, but it retains all of its history. The church even has its original stained glass windows.
Seating Capacity
The maximum guest count that is allowed at this venue is 150. This is smaller than most other locations, so keep this limitation in mind as you prepare your invites and narrow the list down.
Best Features
The architecture and access to nature are the two biggest draws for this location. Grand, elegant buildings can host your ceremony and reception, but there are outdoor alternatives as well. Entire Building Quick Stats:
- When entire building is rented it can accommodate up to 200 comfortably when there is access to the outdoor areas.
- Without access to outside areas the building can accommodate 140 with downstairs, our weddings will host cocktail hour in the downstairs, transition upstairs for a seated dinner and then make dessert available downstairs as the staff transforms the upstairs for dancing. Alternatively, a number of couples have chosen to do food stations throughout for a heavy appetizer reception.
