It’s A Popular Hiking Area But The Amphitheater Is Mostly Secluded From Crowds
The parking lot is a few hundred feet from the amphitheater, connected by a paved walkway.
There are several intersecting walkways that lead to Maroon Lake and other hiking trails, but the main path up to the amphitheater is surrounded by aspen trees and curves into the pretty secluded ceremony area.
It’s still visible from the main walkways, but we didn’t have issues with noise from crowds. In fact, we enjoyed the well-wishes from passersby as we walked back along the main path for photos.
Timber Creek Overlook Zion National Park Utah
Looking to keep your ceremony small? To maintain the area, Zion limits groups hiking to the Timber Creek Overlook to 12 or lessperfect for a mountain elopement. The trail follows a ridge overlooking the Kolob Canyons, and you can even see Mt. Trumbull at the northern edge of the Grand Canyon. Head there in the summer for a spectacular wildflower display. A special use permit at Zion National Park costs $100.
The Atrium Wedding And Event Center
10500 Hwy 160, Merriam Woods, MO
This is Branson’s newest wedding and event center. The Atrium displays a modern farmhouse style with spacious white walls, decorative vaulted ceiling, and unique details. The Atrium venue sits atop a stunning view of the Ozark Mountains, and has both indoor and outdoor space available for 20-300 people. The Atrium is located just 15 minutes outside of Historic Downtown Branson, where endless lodging and entertainment options will be available for all wedding guests.

Paradise Ridge Winery Santa Rosa

Wells Reserve At Laudholm
This restored saltwater farm named Laudholm offers an incredible backdrop for your Maine wedding including a rustic barn, walking trails, stunning views and 2250 acres of protected lands that can accommodate up to 250 wedding guests. This property is unique for sure as it offers views of Wells Bay. If you have your heart set on beach photography its an easy 10 to 15 minute walk down to the water. They also have an option to have your wedding ceremony site for smaller gatherings in front of the boardwalk overlooking the beach.

Best Austin Wedding Venues

As a wedding photographer in Texas, I have shot at most of the wedding venues in the Austin and Hill country area so I have comprised a more detailed list of some of my favorites. Austin is lucky enough to home a variety of options from rustin hill country to modern city, whatever you style, Austin has created the perfect location for your wedding. The last venue on this list is another fantastic venue for a wedding in Ann Arbor. The ballroom and indoor event spaces have cathedral ceilings, massive windows, and a dance floor. In addition, the outdoor spaces are picturesque with a golf course. You can keep the wedding intimate with 40 guests or invite up to 200 guests to this wedding venue.

For The Thespians: National Arts Centre
If the two of you have flair for the dramatic, the National Arts Centre may be the Ottawa wedding venue youve been dreaming of. It hosts plays, productions, musical events and, of course, weddings. The centre has four equally gorgeous event rooms, the largest of which can fit 1500 people. P.S. it has dedicated coordinators and planners on staff thatll plan out all the fine details of your big day .

The amphitheater doesn’t allow for a large sound system, but a park ranger gave us permission to use a small personal speaker for our officiant and musician to connect to.
It allowed the guests to hear the ceremony without disturbing the wildlife.
Our incredibly talented musician-turned-friend John Brewster made our ceremony even more magical.
We picked out sentimental songs that fit the mountain vibe, and his warm guitar playing and voice blended so well with the scenery it was an unforgettable experience.

For The Beer Fanatics: Mill Street Brew Pub
So, the two of you bonded over your mutual love of lagers, IPAs and pilsners? The Mill Street Brew Pub may just be the perfect Ottawa wedding venue for you. It has a killer selection of beers on tap and is pretty picturesque, as well. Its located inside what used to be a grist mill and has some serious rustic, industrial-chic vibes. It can fit up to 120, so dont go overboard with your guest list.

17. Allan House a cute little house centrally located off 0f 11th street. The house is used for getting ready and the cocktail hour while there is an outdoor area for the reception and ceremony. The area is easily tented during the winter and rainy weather.
Pro tip: Do a first look and have the ceremony close to sunset time for better lighting.

10. Bob Bullock Museum is mostly used indoors for their large ballroom but ceremonies are sometimes held by the entrance. The hall is vast with tall ceilings making sure you and your guests never feel cramped. One of the bigger nice venues in town it can accommodate large weddings. It is centrally located near UT but to photograph the best areas near here would require a little walking although the museum has some nice places to photograph as well.
Pro tip: Make time to be able to utilize the areas around the museum for portraits.

For The Jet Setters: Canadian Aviation And Space Museum
Do you and your partner absolutely love to travel? Give a nod to your love of jet setting by bringing your wedding to the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum. No, you wont get to hop on any of the planes and fly away to the Bahamas or Bermuda once your reception has wrapped, but you can party among them. Its largest space is big enough to fit 400 guests, so go ahead and invite all your friends, relatives and followers.

12. Red Corral Ranch is located in Wimberley, just far away enough that your guests will have horrible cell service . The ranch is equipped with enough rooms to accomodate 30-40 people on site, including a ‘honeymoon suite’. We like this venue because of the variety of locations possible. Most people get married at the lower part of the venue, where the peacocks hang out, then take a hay ride to the barn for the reception. You can also have an outdoor reception here if barns are not your thing or a ceremony on a labyrinth. You can utilize this venue to make it whatever style you have envisioned for your wedding.
Pro tip: Don’t use the small bedroom for hair and make-up, use the dining room in house, it’s much more photogenic. Also, leave the barn doors open and do your first dance at twilight.

For The Artists: Ottawa Art Gallery
If you love art and design, then this is the art gallery wedding venue in Ottawa for you. 23. Barton Creek Resort is a huge resort located in west Austin. It has a golf course on site where one of the two reception locations is located. There is a classic ballroom adjoined to a potential ceremony or cocktail room as well as a glass window pavilion that can be opened up or closed as need be.
Pro tip: Try to get ready in a room that isn’t super far away from the groom, the hotel is huge and it can 10 minutes for us to walk from one to the other wasting a lot of time.

24. Hotel Zaza is a brand new hotel located in the thick of downtown with sister hotels in Houston and Dallas. This hotel is known for providing a boutique experience with unique decor unlike any of the major chains out there.

25. Pecan Springs – A beautiful hill country event facility built in 2014 with a neutral backdrop in mind to allow every couple to add their own special touches to. The venue has an 1800’s era home for getting ready, an outdoor pavilion, and indoor reception hall.

Figuring Out Guest Count And Transportation Took Some Logistical Planning
The amphitheater only holds about 50 people, so we had to keep our guest list small. It wasn’t too difficult because we knew we wanted a micro-wedding, which typically means under 50 guests.
But our reservation only came with five parking passes, and we had to figure out how to get everyone plus our vendors to the site 11 miles from downtown Aspen.
Our options were renting a large van, buying shuttle tickets for each guest, or buying additional parking passes and organizing carpools with family members.
Van rentals were very expensive and shuttle tickets were $16 each. But parking passes were only $10 each, so we went with that. It ended up working out great, and most people were able to drive their own cars.
