Wedding Ceremony At Sonoma Lodge

The ceremony took place on the Stone Lawn where beautiful wooden chairs were set and florals lined the aisle. Melissa was led down the aisle by her father who had the best smile giving away his daughter. It was clear Melissas family and friends adored Bo and appreciated him for the love he gave her. Known as hakafot, Melissa walked around Bo 7 times before the ceremony began. The two declared their vows to one another and sealed it with the most perfect kiss.

Melissas father surprised the pair with a personal song he sang and played his guitar to. It had some hysterical memories of them and sweet sentiments that held everyones attention. The two then had their first dance when the sun was almost all gone and it was absolutely perfect.

As much as I love documenting Sonoma County weddings at wineries I love the convenience of resort weddings for the guests and the couple, as well as myself, the photographer. Melissa got ready in the bridal room next to the Sonoma Resorts ceremony space with her favorite people. Immediately after meeting Melissa she made me feel at ease and so excited for her big day. She has an infectious smile and warmth about her that is truly a joy to be around. One of my favorite memories of the day was when Melissa and her Mom Lisa were alone in the hallway putting Melissa in her dress, the way her Mom looked at her was like magic. My next favorite moment? When Melissa looked in the mirror and said I look so pretty. Every bride deserves to feel that.

Saying I Do At A Sonoma Resort And Spa Wedding

The Lodge at Sonoma with its outdoor garden area and indoor ball rooms with adjacent patios, makes it an ideal setting for any wine country wedding. Starting off with the garden wedding ceremony, the Katie processed in with her father to Stand By Me by Florence and the Machine. The bride and groom then recessed out toOne Fine Day by The Chiffons.

For their grand entrance song, the bride and groom chose Strawberry Letter 23 by The Brothers Johnson. The Lodge at Sonoma provided the planning and catering services for the day.

Katie and Ryan chose Sea of Love by The Honeydrippers for their first dance song. Then Katie danced with her dad to Pirate Looks at Forty by Jimmy Buffett. Finally Ryan danced with his mom to The Wind by Cat Stevens.

DJ Alex was their MC and DJ for the night and he tore it up. Playing some must-plays like Twist and Shout, Mr. Brightside by The Killers and I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston.

Last song of the night was Dont Stop Me Now by Queen.

Katie and Ryan chose excellent wedding vendors for their special day. Melissa Floriano Photography was the photographer for the day, capturing all of the special moments. The Lodge at Sonoma provided the planning and catering services for the day.

Where do I even start with Christina and Joses stunning wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma. I connected with the two from their planner, Marissa Renee Events who referred me to the pair! Marissa was spot on when it came to connecting us as I adore these two and loved documenting their special day. Like many 2020 couples Christina and Jose had to postpone their wedding but did they ever celebrate! They even brought in a mariachi to get their guests up and dancing!

The Lodge at Sonoma is located in the heart of downtown Sonoma and a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. With its picturesque stone building and lawn where the two held their ceremony to the large oak tree where cocktail hour was held, its an absolutely beautiful resort to get married.The rooms at The Lodge at Sonoma have been recently updated and provided the most beautiful light for both bride and groom to get ready.

Their first look was held under the large oak tree and as you can see it was one for the books. Absolutely beautiful bride Christina took Joses breath away and the tears came strolling down for the both of them. It was a moment I dont think anyway who was present would ever forget. There is something so sentimental about a strong man loving unconditionally his wife, something I truly love to document.

Big congratulations to the couple it was an honor to document your beautiful moments!

Wedding At The Lodge At Sonoma

My daughter is planning a wedding next August and has zeroed in on the Lodge at Sonoma. Has anyone had experience there? TA feedback is positive as hotel.

As I remember the Lodge at Sonoma is a Renaissance resort. It is relatively new and quite lovely. I have no experience with their wedding arrangements, however.

The location is not great, but not bad. It is about two miles from the Sonoma Plaza on Highway 12. Have you googled it?

Just for fun, also see what MacArthur Place and Spa has to offer. This is the historical former summer estate of a San Francisco newspaper man and has the manor house, the restaurant “Saddles” in the former horse barn and more modern accommodations on the property. It is closer to the Plaza and actually in town rather than out of it.

There is a really pretty stone building on site where many weddings are held. There was a wedding there when I was staying at the Lodge. I thought the building was very nice for a wedding but you or she should visit to make sure it’s right for you. The stone building is to the left and forward of the main entrance.

The Lodge at Sonoma and MacArthur Place are .55 miles apart on broadway. We have stayed at both and walk between the two, even though its a busy half mile stretch, for dinner when wine is involved!

I had my wedding there. I would highly recommend it. It was the best day ever!
