Only problem was she wasn’t actually officially engaged to Juan at this point. However they happened to be heading to Santa Barbara to celebrate her birthday so took it upon themselves to check it out, and seeing it in person solidified the decision that this was the place for them. I recently stayed here with my husband and let me tell youit was BREATHTAKING. The grounds are like something out of a storybook, and the accommodations are unique and plush. If you have the budget, a wedding venue doesnt get more idyllic than this. While youll most likely be paying what you would at another venue for double the amount of people, youre making up for it in atmosphere/experience. Youve got sprawling hills, ocean views, outstanding food at the Stonehouse Restaurant and Plow & Angel, and amazing wine .
While the rooms are definitely at the top of anybodys price range and most guests might not be able to stay on the property, San Ysidro Ranch still tops my list as a dream wedding venue. If I had the budget I would definitely utilize the Upper Estate Lawn because its gorgeous, and the Wine Cellar patio and Stonehouse Restaurant are both great if you have a smaller guest list.
The Hydrangea Cottage will allow you a bit more flexibility at a lower cost, and I like the option of adding the 6 Junior Suites to the Ceremony/Reception package. The Old Adobe is also an extremely romantic option if you are eloping and just want to do a dinner for the two of you . If youre looking for a Southern California wedding venue and it fits your budget/needs, you have to go look at the propertyeven if its just for lunch!

Summer is upon us and what better time than now to share this beautiful and sweet wedding. Hilarie and Jimmys plans began in March of 2019. They persevered the woes of postponement, venue changes and altering all their plans to arrive to this day. And what a day it what! Florals in bloom, sun is shining, drinks are a plenty and guests dressed to impress. Their vows were in the Rose Garden of the stunning San Ysidro Ranch. Who can deny the properties stunning Bougainvillea wall? Its absolutely gorgeous! Followed with cocktails and dinner in the Garden Lawn. Dining al fresco under the stars pairing their perfect union with a perfect setting. Knot Just Flowers created light and airy blooms throughout the day. I love it when brides choose Lily of the Valley bridal bouquets! They are delicate, elegant and classic in design. We took time to design stunning stationary and day of paper goods with Lazaro Press + Design who is local to Santa Barbara. Michelle Beller expertly captures every moment. The Bride, Groom and their guests danced the night away at an After Party at Pearl Social Santa Barbara.

The Gardens:
Located at the front of the property with a vista view.
- Site fee of $3,000-$10,000 based on date.
- High Season is May-November. Saturdays in High Season are $7,500, and Friday/Sunday are $6,000
- Weekdays are $3,000 and everyday in Low Season is $3,000
- Accommodates up to 120 guests in conjunction with indoor reception venues
- Saturday weddings are required to reserve a reception venue as well
- $6,000 Food and Beverage minimum for all Saturday weddings May-November
- Acoustic music only
- Full property buyout required if tenting or serving a seated meal . Notes on a full property buyout are below.
The Wine Cellar:

The Santa Barbara Historical Museum
The historical museum is located near State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. It is a beautiful gardenesque venue with two adjoining courtyards accented with water fountains. Outer walls surround both courtyards so your event will be out of sight to those walking around downtown.
And each courtyard is incredibly spacious so adhering to local guidelines regarding Covid-19 shouldnt be a problem. The area has both native and exotic plants which offer a unique ambiance to your celebration. One of our favorite parts of this venue is the terrace. Vines cover the structure from top to bottom and drape across the arches.
There are a couple of options if you decide to rent the Santa Barbara Historical Museum for your ceremony or an intimate elopement. The Ceremony Only option allows the use of the courtyards, terrace, and the bridal room for up to 8 hours with 100 guests or fewer. The investment is $2000 for Monday thru Thursday, $3000 for Saturday, and $2500 for Friday and Sundays.
The elopement option is for a smaller gathering that will take place within three months. This option allows the use of the courtyard and the bridal room for a minimum of four hours between 12-5 pm. With this option, you can bring 10 or fewer guests to celebrate with you. The investment is $500 for Monday thru Friday and $1000 for Saturday and Sundays.

For Walter and Beth, getting married wasnt just about joining together as husband and wife it was about blending their two families. Wanting to honor the past as they started their new future together as one family, the couple opted to keep things intimate, inviting only the closest of family members and dearest of friends to share their day with them.
On the evening of the summer solstice, Beths son escorted her down the aisle while her daughter and stepdaughter stood next to them as they exchanged their vows in a beautiful ceremony at San Ysidoro Ranch in Montecito, California. They followed up their nuptials with a formal yet fun outdoor reception, partying late into the night at the Plow and Angel Pub.

At the same time, we had to be mindful of the fact that we still had two kids finishing college, and that we had just purchased a house which we are planning to fully remodel before the end of the year, so we didnt want to overspend.

Roblar Winery & Vineyards
The Roblar Winery and Vineyards is located in the majestic Santa Ynez Valley, roughly 40 minutes from Santa Barbara. This location has so many beautiful and wonderful areas, but our favorite is the ceremony space. The Roblar Winery has one of the most picturesque ceremony spaces in the entire area. The altar can be set up between two large oak trees that open into the vineyards beyond. And since the construction just finished on their new winery building it only adds to the beauty of the property.
There are two micro-wedding packages offered by Roblar Winery. The main difference between the two is the time the event starts and ends. The first package is a daytime-only collection available between 11-5 pm. The investment is $250 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours. There is also a menu and wine fee per guest of $35 and $25 respectively.
The second package is an evening-only collection and allows you and your guests to enjoy dinner by the stone fireplace. The investment is $500 per hour with a 4 hour minimum available from 5-10 pm. There is also a menu and wine fee per guest of $65 and $25 respectively.
