Shaun and Allison met online, and a spark was instant. They met on a website that estimates personality compatibility and later started dating. The experience was a dream come true for him, but it nearly turned into a nightmare- or did it? You learn something new every day, even when getting lost in nature. Shaun dramatically proposed to Allison after getting lost on a hike in the woods. Shaun decided that it would be extra special if he proposed at home and didnt tell her until she saw the ring in his hands!

Congratulations to Emily and Christopher on becoming husband and wife! These lovers tied the knot at The River House at Odettes in New Hope, PA, on January 14th, 2022. This River House at Odettes wedding videography documented all the magical moments from beginning to end.
Emily spent her morning getting ready for the big day with the bridal party. The girls took amazing group shots in their comfy flannels and enjoyed a couple of drinks before changing into their wedding outfits. Later, the bride mesmerized her father and the bridesmaids with her stunning wedding look! She donned a gorgeous spaghetti strap dress with floral lace details and completed the look with a pair of eye-catching earrings. Likewise, Christopher was getting ready with his father and the groomsmen by his side. The groom opted for a black tuxedo with a black tie and red boutonnière for his special day he looked so handsome! Then, it was time to meet his beautiful bride!
At last, it was time to party! Christopher changed into his white suit and performed the first dance with Emily they were smiling from ear to ear the entire time! After that, everyone was off to the dance floor! This River House at Odettes wedding videography captured all of the great moments to be cherished by the couple forever.

Getting Ready At The River House At Odettes
It was a sunny and somewhat humid day as we drove alongside the Delaware River up to the beautiful and brand new River House at Odettes. We ran into Katis lovely planner Andi from Musa Weddings in the parking lot, and all walked upstairs together.
When Kati opened the door, she was the picture of calm. Her flawless makeup by the artists at Gloss Studio and hair were perfectly set. As we got her details in place to capture, we heard lots of laughter as one of her flower girls entertained everyone with some killer dance moves. She and Joe each had the wedding date engraved into their rings. A somewhat gutsy move, considering all the pandemic rescheduling. But we admired the moxie and their gamble had more than paid off.
Kati was more than ready to get dressed, and with her stunning Morilee wedding gown, it was easy to see why. So we didnt keep her any longer. She slipped into the lacy sparkling gown with the help of her mom and matron of honor, Noelle.
When all the buttons were done, they stood back and stared in awe. She was utterly stunning. But the best came next when her father, Mati, entered the room. As he saw Kati in full bridal attire, his eyes welled and his voice broke. Im not sure what I expected, but this is better than I couldve imagined. You look beautiful. He then gave her a huge hug and a gift from him and her mother. A stunning bracelet for a stunning bride. One of the sweetest family moments weve had the joy to photograph so far this year.

A fantastic wedding venue, an elegant yet funky reception space, whimsical floral arrangements, tasty hors doeuvres, a fun photo booth, great entertainment, and the sweetest introductionthats the style of Allison & Shauns wedding. Truly, it was just what they dreamed of, and their vendors provided everything they needed. Nevertheless, it was a remarkable day made even more memorable by the talented wedding vendors who planned, styled, and coordinated Allison & Shauns celebration.
River House At Odettes Wedding Photo Locations
The outdoor shooting spaces are perfect for small to medium-sized bridal party sizes. Allocate some time to walk down as the best spaces to shoot during the mid-day sun are down the trail a little bit. The absolute best time for your photographs here is late day to golden hour, especially if you want those beautiful river views with the hills in the background.
One of the most pleasant surprises is the rented bikes on site. They are an absolute blast to shoot with and a staple for photographs at Odettes. We had so much fun with Brandon and his groomsmen riding around when we were shooting.

Time For A First Danceand Pizza
Did I forget to say that their gorgeous, rustic and intimate little reception in the backyard included delivery from Byron Pizza? It sure did and it was amazing! With plates of appetizers being dropped at each table, the pizza arrived right on schedule and of course we had to have a little fun with pics…because, well, pizza.
Shaina & Jeff also had a cute Polaroid guest book, so everyone was snapping shots of each other, and pasting them into the guest book with their best wishes
I Guess Backyard Is An Understatement
I wasn’t exaggerating when I said I could shoot here EVERY DAY especially with a couple as chill and laidback as Shaina & Jeff! This property – and the two of them – blew my mind! It was crazy sunny all day but the space lent itself to so many perfectly shaded and beautiful backdrops, I could have kept shooting for 10 more hours and not run out of inspiration!

River House At Odettes Wedding
Imagine a small, intimate wedding planned to perfection. Soft candlelight and friends and family mingling happily while enjoying delectable hors doeuvres and cocktails. An intimate ceremony in Odettes charming grounds followed by a sumptuous dinner. River House is an intimate location for an upscale wedding. This venue was previously an old mill building transformed into a rustic country wedding venue.
There is plenty of patio space for guest seating as well, and a private patio just off the bridal suite upstairs. River House has 12 x 12 wood barn doors to close off the bridal suite for more privacy. There is also a loft overlooking the ceremony area with a wood floor and sliding glass doors. When opened, they make it feel more like an outside ceremony space since it is directly overlooking the river.

I did a lot of research and planning early in the engagement which greatly helped me along the way I got all the big stuff done nearly a year before the event and that meant less stress (which was good especially since in the middle of wedding planning, I was accepted into a college program which I began this past January.

River House At Odettes Wedding: Allison & Shaun
Allison & Shauns wedding at The River House at Odettes was very DIY and warm. The venue is a large estate but, they wanted to keep the feel intimate, filled with candles and natural light. We kept it warm on an overcast day by using a mixture of white balance temps and balancing flash with available light.
Natural light was best in the outdoor images of putting together favors, while the flash gave the crispness and vibrancy of the indoor images. We got creative with fun techniques such as double exposures in-camera, freezing motion with slow shutter speeds, and showing action by panning the subjects vertically during their vows to help convey emotions.

Where Did You Get Married
Matthew and I got married in Toronto, Ontario. We married at the church were we met six years ago when he joined the childrens ministry I run . Both sets of parents were married in the same church 30 years ago and 35 years ago .
We took our pictures at James Gardens park in Etobicoke where our parents did their photos as did Matthews sister and husband . The reception was at LAzzura Ballroom in Vaughan they have amazing food, great bar selection and wonderful staff.
We were there for a different event several years ago and the wonderful service put them high on our list of potential venues.
River House At Odettes Wedding New Hope Pa
As long as its not 3 feet of snow and bitterly cold, Ill take these warm December weddings anytime. Marisa and Evan decided on a River House at Odettes wedding because of the stunning scenery and beautiful venue space. But what the didnt know was that it was going to be a gorgeous day. Marisa and Evan started off in separate rooms while they got ready with their bridal party. After the dress was on and the cufflinks were fastened, it was time for their first look on the old bridge over looking the hotel. While we still had light left, we got some really beautiful portraits, along with wedding party and family photos. Just before dark, Marisa and Evan held their ceremony on the porch next to the creek and the backdrop couldnt have been more perfect. The I dos were said, the kiss was firmly planted, and the happy couple were officially married! After Marisa and Evan tied the knot, it was off to the cocktail hour and reception. And this crew was ready to party! Everyone had an amazing time and we were thrilled to be a part of the celebration. Congratulations Marisa and Evan and enjoy the photos and video!

The Wedding Ceremony At The River House At Odettes
The River House at Odettes on the Lawns held Allison & Shauns elegant ceremony in an unbelievable natural setting of trees, flowers, and lawn decor ideal for guests to enjoy during the event. White dendrobium orchids, white hydrangeas, silver dollar eucalyptus, dusty miller, rosemary sprigs, heather tips and sprigs, willow clusters, and small white boxwood cones decorated the lawn throughout the ceremony area.
Guests seated in impeccably decorated chairs handcrafted with lamps made from reclaimed wood and glass vase tops. The decor leading up to the terrace was stunning. From the large lanterns hung from trees to candles in glass votives placed around the path. The wedding was perfect, and everything went smoothly. The brides dress fit her like a glove, and her smile made us all want to love. Shaun looked very handsome in his tuxedo and had the tearful look on his face when Allison walked down the aisle with her dad. You could hear a pin drop as Allison walked down the aisle in that beautiful white dress, smiling with anticipation.
The officiator began to speak about how people meet and fall in love. They then turned back to face everybody, smiled broadly, and kissed each other passionately as the entire room erupted in applause.

The space is beautiful, and I want to mention that the wood flooring here is impressive and adds a ton of warmth to the room. Views of the river will have your guests in awe, especially as the sun starts to set and you can see the golden kiss of the sun on the top of the mountains across the river.
It was an absolute pleasure to document Ashley & Brandons wedding. They are fun, natural together, and have fantastic family and friends. The staff was beyond accommodating, nice, friendly, and, best of all, fun to be around.

Ceremony At St Cyril Of Jerusalem
It was a short drive from the River House at Odettes to the beautiful church where Joe and Kati would exchange their vows and rings. Guests were arriving and being seated when we pulled up in the bus. There were only a few minutes and an aisle separating Kati and Joe from being together forever. It was go time.
The traditional Here Comes the Bride rang out as the doors opened to reveal Kati with her dad. It was a long and graceful walk down the aisle for Kati, a moment of time were sure is preserved in Joes memory with vivid clarity. Mati raised her blusher, and placed her hand in Joes.
Their traditional ceremony lawfully bound them together as husband and wife, which they sealed with a kiss and those lovely engraved rings. After some family portraits at the church, we made our way back to the River House at Odettes for portraits and the party!

Next, our team photographed the luxe ceremony scene. We love how Precious Petals incorporated rich and vibrant colors. In fact, this color scheme is perfect for fall.
We particularly love photographing the rooms at River House at Odettes. The event space is so beautiful for weddings! The wooden floors and unique light fixtures are the perfect base for an elevated reception.
Candids are so important to us. The joy and excitement truly shines through in these unexpected moments. For this reason, we cherish authentic celebration photos.

If youre a Philadelphian whos spent any time in Cape May, you know about the Reeds at Shelter Haven. You know about the outdoor sundeck with breathtaking waterfront views, and youve likely heard about the luxurious spa they tacked on last year. But what you might not know is that Refined Hospitality, the hospitality group behind the Reeds, has also been hard at work on another waterfront property: River House at Odettes in New Hope.
Set on the banks of the Delaware River on the high part of River Road in New Hope, River House at Odettes is a 34-room hotel and wedding venue slated to open in the spring of 2020. The property is inspired by Depression-era vaudeville and Broadway entertainer Odette Myrtil, who, in her post-acting life, ran a lively restaurant and cabaret called Chez Odette on the same plot of land in the 60s and 70s.
River House credits Myrtil for the French charm that extends throughout the property where her cabaret once existed stood. The actresss artsy French influence can be seen, felt, and tasted at River House through the menu selections, velvet and leather furnishings, an on-site piano lounge, and the open-concept ballroom, where the walls are covered with lines from Myrtils own love letters.

Getting The Party Started At The River House At Odettes
This was one of the easiest weddings we have ever shot, and this is partly because Allison & Shaun have a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and joy. So, they had no doubt garnered an outpouring of generosity from friends and family alike to help them host their incredible event at The River House at Odettes.
When we arrived at the River House at Odettes we were greeted with a warm smile, explained how things would be run, and promptly taken care of. This was one of the first signs that this would be a successful day for Allison & Shaun. The venue itself works like a well-oiled machine. It is the host to many other weddings in which this event crew knows exactly what is going on and efficient at making sure all gets done and runs smoothly.
We had access to any part of the venue that we needed to capture our shots. The staff were there to help with anything we needed and were pleasant throughout the whole group. The weather had cooperated all day, even giving us some puffy clouds in the sky for sunset shots. For Allison & Shaun, this day was everything they wanted it to be it was an emotional roller coaster filled with laughter, tears of joy, and lots of memories.
