Mason jars are great containers but they also make for charming wedding accents. Use them as holders for vintage pictures of family members to be displayed on the welcome table. Add a few floral arrangements around the pictures to nicely bridge the wedding decor to this idea.

“Go for more high-end materials and textures like linen, stoneware, and iron to keep the focus on the quality of those elements rather than the quantity of things to look at,” says Vierra. “This will help maintain sophistication in your rustic theme and keep the aesthetic timeless.” Neutral hues with a heathered grain evoke an organic feel without having to go full burlap to achieve a rustic look.

Cheap Wedding Table Decorations

Besides the centerpiece, you can add bits and pieces of decor on your tables at your reception to add more flair. Whether you decide to keep it more minimalist or spruce up your venue down to the tables, you can stay within your budget with these ideas for cheap wedding table decorations.

Table runners take your seating to the next level. Just a simple piece of cloth can make a table seem that much fancier. If you want a more down-to-earth feel, burlap is a great and cheap option. Sprinkle some flower petals or confetti over your table runner for an extra festive look!

Napkins with patterns add more whimsy to your wedding decorations. This is a way to decorate and bring more excitement without buying extra items as decor. Linen napkins can set you back, but keep your eyes open for cheaper napkins. By folding your napkins into bows or other shapes, you can add another layer of decor.

Use food as decor! Your guests will be impressed with your decorations, but theyre also here to enjoy the food. This is a fun way to combine both aspects of your wedding. Mason jars come in handy here, too. Fill up jars with colorful candy and snacks.

Flowers + Floral Wedding Decor

I think we can all agree that in the past, flowers were the most popular way to decorate for weddings. As for today. nothing has changed. Flowers almost always have a part in a couples wedding.

Keep in mind that these flowers dont have to be fresh, real, or realistic looking. If your budget is tight, you may want to seek out wedding floral alternatives for more cost-friendly options. Several of our couples from our previous Real Weddings features have made bouquets and other decor out of book pages, fabric, buttons, or even brooches. Still, the fact remains: flowers tend to be an integral part of getting married.

Leave More Time Than You Think

DECORATING OUR WEDDING VENUE

We cannot stress this enough: however long you might think it will take to set up your venue and style your wedding, double it, triple it, heck, maybe even quadruple it if you’re planning to do it yourself!

Finicky things like hanging festoon lights, blowing up balloons, or tying lots of bows, in particular, can end up taking forever.

When I got married, I had grand notions of getting to the venue at 8am for the set-up then heading off at 10am for hair and make-up. Luckily, we got into the venue the day before, and due to a problem with the rental tables, setting up actually took most of the day, and we had lots of helpers. In short, don’t be as naive as I was!

Find A Raw Space Wedding Venue

Okay, so what exactly IS a raw space? When we say “raw” we mean that the venue is essentially just a shell: Four walls, a roof, and a floor. Bare bones. A total blank slate.

If there’s one thing raw-space venues have in spades, it’s character. Although you’ll essentially be building your wedding from the ground up, the point of an industrial-chic wedding is to let the inherent features of your venue shine.

We have lots of Loft/Warehouse/Industrial wedding venues on HereComesTheGuide.com, but here are a few that really embody the essence of industrial chic:

Flowers play a central role in wedding design. They are especially important for inside settings, where, alongside expansive windows, they can deliver a touch of outdoor beauty.

Flower selection is critical, as different types carry different vibes and messages. Roses are always advisable, as they are inherently romantic. Orchids bring a more tropical feel to the affair, while lily of the valley has an appealingly delicate appearance. Coordinate flower selection to ensure that the table centerpieces, bouquets, and other floral decorations work well together.

No matter the venue, your weddings theme can dictate not only its aesthetics but also how your guests feel throughout the event. The theme doesnt have to be complicated simple may actually be preferable, as it allows for a greater range of decor and apparel.

When selecting wedding themes, some couples prefer to choose simple adjectives to describe their emotions, while others focus on the main colors and let themes unfold naturally. Others look to their roots, perhaps paying homage to loved ones with meaningful themes that span generations.

Ideally, the theme will fit seamlessly with the venue and your apparel, as mismatches between these elements could prove jarring. Before arriving at a final decision, consider how various themes can be integrated with your Connecticut wedding venues scenery and layout.

“The size of the barn was quite large for the guest count so the draping helped in several waysit filled the space well and made the scale of the barn feel more appropriate, lightened up the dark interior, and added layers of texture,” explains Vierra. “While wood is a staple in rustic design, it can also become quite dark and heavy so using draping in creative ways can lighten up the space and add softness.”

Advertise On The Channels Couples Use

Your marketing efforts will fall short if they aren’t being directed to the right people at the right time. Most couples book a venue within a couple months of becoming engaged. This means that the window to earn their business is usually pretty small. Don’t let it close without getting your venue in front of them. Here are a few ways to go about doing just that:

  • Create . The social media platform allows you to customize ad campaigns based on a users’ age, location, relationship status, interests, and more.
  • The platform states that 40 million people use it as a wedding planning tool each year, so creating an ad campaign to reach couples can go a long way.
  • Attend in-person events. In-person promotion will always be a valuable marketing tool, and it’s no different for wedding venues. Consider attending bridal expos and creating a booth that makes you stand out from the competition.

Modern ceremonies offer unmatched flexibility when it comes to choosing food for your wedding menu. Unlike a garden wedding or an elegant, formal affair, you can choose mini versions of popular meals, mix and match your desserts to suit your taste, and personalize your drink menu for an added celebratory touch.

For an even more creative wedding menu, break from the mold and serve classic breakfast meals for dinner, then watch as your guests’ photos fill your Instagram feed. Finally, include a cocktail-style reception that replaces the hassle of fussy foods, seating charts, or an individual place setting with delicious bites.
